Mr. Howard Kwak has been a licensed Mortgage Broker (Individual and Corporate) in New Jersey (N.J. Dept of Banking License Number: L034201, L034202) since 2000. He is the founder and CEO of Best Mortgage, a division of Soho Holdings Corp. Best Mortgage, which specializes in residential and commercial real estate lending in the metro NY/NJ area, is one of the largest Korean-American mortgage brokers in the east coast of United States. With 30 loan officers and 6 processors, Best Mortgage lends over 300 millions dollars a year. Mr. Kwak is a well-known real estate columnist in the Korean-American community. His articles are regularly featured in Korean newspapers and media including Korean Central Daily, The Segye Times, Media Korea (Ch. 512/73), The Korean Channel (Ch 511) and Radio Korea (AM1660). In 2004, Mr. Kwak authored a best-selling book called “Mortgage Doctor” published by Korean Central Daily. He has also been operating the ‘Booja Kyosil’- a weekly real estate investment seminar, where he has taught thousands of attendees about credit, financings and other real estate subjects. He has been a chief faculty staff in the annual Korean Real Estate Expo. Mr. Kwak and Best Mortgage received numerous awards from lenders, associations and communities for excellence and expertise. Best Mortgage has been nominated as the best mortgage company by the Korean-American Realtors Association continuously since 2002. Mr. Kwak served as a board member of the Korean-American Association of Greater New York, the Korean School of New Jersey, and the Korean Christian Youth Center. Before his venture with Best Mortgage, he had been employed by Microsoft Corp (NSDQ: MSFT) as Vice President of HomeAdvisor; Intuit Inc. (NSDQ: INTU), as Vice President of Quicken Loans and Stanley Capital as Senior Vice President of the Asian Division.
